This morning as I was sitting in my high chair being fed sugar cereal by my sister Isabelle, and I started to think how much I love my sisters! Especially when Mom showed up and took the lovely yummie cereal away!!
I have three sisters, ya know and I love them each for the things that make them special. Let me explain:
Addie is my oldest sister and she likes to read books to me. I really enjoy it when she lets me have the book and then I get to chew on it 
 Who needs reading when you can chew!
Emma is my second oldest sister and she is my Bud, or at least I think so because she always calls me “O Joe Buds”. I am not exactly sure why but I think it has to do with my name being Owen Josiah and that I get called Buddy from time to time. I figure she just put them all together. Emma likes to hold me even though I am getting really big these days. And she is great at talking and singing to me a ton when I am crying. Sometimes she gets to feed me and that is always fun!!
Then there is Isabelle and she really brings spice into my life! Sometimes when Mom does not know it she will come and wake me up. She first turns on all the lights then crawls into bed with me, turns on my mobile and we lay there giggling. I like it when she plays peek-a-boo with me! She runs up to me and says “aaahh-boo, aaahh-boo” over and over, and it just makes me laugh! But I must say it is great when she sneaks me some food that Mom is not ready for me to try yet, like the sugar cereal. It is just our little secret. Sometimes as payback I let her have my passy, but usually I protest when she takes it! This morning after the cereal was taken away, Isabelle decided to decorate my face with pen marks. I did not like the application, but once on what is a little ink in a boys life? Although, I don’t think Mom shared the same opinion!
Aren’t my sisters GREAT! For now I am sitting around planning…planning how I can love on them back once I get more mobile! It is going to be great!!

We got to do something fun today, Owen did a model shoot for a car seat/stroller! This is actually his second time being the cute baby model, the last time was for a front baby carrier. We happen to know a graphic arts designer who often is doing promotion stuff for baby products and therefore needs baby models. Isabelle got to do it once when she was little. I don’t think her pics ever made it anywhere as far as advertising goes, and we will not know about Owen’s until we run into one in a store someday. So look for a front baby carrier pic with a cute baby back head and dangeling legs (you actually can not see his face 
) and keep an eye out for Owen in a stroller looking oh so cute with his “parents” looking on (who look nothing like Brian and I and if you look real close you can see my wedding ring on her finger!) Give it a few months and then be on the look out Let us know if you spot him!! (I don’t think I can tell you the company because I signed a paper saying I would not inform people about the product before its release.)
I had a great time being on the “set” of the photo shoot, because it reminded me of my childhood. Both my parents (Dean and Linda)are professional photographers and I grew up around all the sights and smells of photo land. It was great to be around it again, I just felt at home. I just love photography!! What a joy to capture an instance of life and freeze it in time forever. I must admit I often go about doing things thinking what would look best in a photograph. I am often tempted to dress my kids a certain way thinking of the photos we might take. And my love for photography has spilled over into a love of scrap booking, but more on that another day!

Well, most of you know by now, but to make it official on the blog, Owen is born and home!
He was born on February 1st, 1 day early. His sisters are adoring him and sometimes fighting over who gets to hold him.
He goes from hand to hand so much that we had to make sure he had “down” time where he sleeps on his own.
Grandma is here with us helping with all kinds of things, especially the night shift! Owen slept from 11:30-6:30 last night!! What a blessing. He was 9 pounds 6 ounces at birth and is still a big boy so the Dr said he we did not need to wake him at night to eat. So sleep Owen sleep We are all thrilled to have him here and are loving having a boy in the house
