We enjoyed a nice wintery Valentines today! It started to snow yesterday and then it continued through most of today, mixed with ice and sleet. Since there was no school and the office was closed we had a nice day at home all together. Brian took Addie and Emma out to play in the snow and they had a great time being pushed and pulled around in the yard in their sled.
Before Grandma left she gave the girls some Valentine gifts, which included a jump rope for both girls. Now Addie had recently been turning anything and everything into a jump rope! In fact Grandma had noticed that and it gave her the inspiration. It is fun to see kids pick up one of those childhood loves like jumping rope. She has great fun doing it and runs up and down the drive way jumping. She also spends lots of time trying different tricks. Emma is enjoying hers as well but has not mastered truely jumping and doing so over the rope. She more twirls the rope around herself and jumps when she wants. Fun, Fun!
Owen is doing well and still sleeping well. He lost his umbilical cord today, so our little man is growing up all to fast
I can see a difference in his feet from when he was first born. His little feet are fuller than they were. Amazing how they grow and change so quickly! Somehow I want to soak it all in and enjoy his babiness as long as possible. It is great that he was born in the winter and right when we started getting snow because it helps encourage us to slow down and just enjoy our children. Hope you can enjoy something or someone with your winter weather!
