Our luggage pile waiting in Zurich train station
Wonderful team mates keeping the girls company
The streets of Adelboden
Good friends with Hope
here is the view out of our dining room!
what an amazing view!!
My word for the day is refreshed(i am typing this on a german keyboard, so there may be some wierd letters here and there). What a difference a night of sleep makes. The lord answered our prazers and the the girls slept 14 hours and would have slept more if we let them. our preparations are going well, and looking forward to the rest of the students coming in tommorow.
Our host`s name is Thomas and is very gracious to our team.
we are headed to the town to contact people about some of the youth activities.
Praise God, all the luggage has arrived! Jon meyer and betty have their clothing and are happz.
more later it is 4:15 in the afternoon and we need to make sure we make contacts before people close up.
Blessings!
Wow, what an incredible 27 hours!!
A van ride, 3 airplanes, a train, and a bus ride later we arrived to our hotel at around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, Switz time. We are 7 hours ahead of eastern standard time (usually 6 hrs. but they started their daylight savings time this past Sunday).
Thanks to all who are praying. It was a very long and trying day with ups and downs.
We were blessed with the plane in Detroit waiting for our delayed flight so that we could make the connection.
We were blessed with each seat on our long flight having an “on demand” in seat personal video system with many videos, music, and games to choose from. Our girls started with watching Sound of Music (their favorite movie). It made it even better, because at the end of the movie the VonTrap family fled over the hills of Austria into SWITZERLAND!! The girls loved that we were going there too and want to twirl and sing in the hills tomorrow.
We were blessed with very helpful team mates who loved on our girls.
We were blessed by smooth travel and a very helpful steward on our final flight.
Some of our trials were a late flight to start with, the older two girls getting about 3 or 4 hours of sleep in a 28 hour period (we had MELTDOWN on our train ride! God was good in helping us give grace and patience to the girls), phils guitar got cracked, one of our suitcases busted and spilled out on the baggage people, 3 or 4 bags of our team mates were lost and should be delivered tomorrow by 9.
Our accomadations are really nice here and we are blessed by some kids play areas in which our girls are already making good friends with the other children here. Much to look forward to and now that the girls are nestled in their beds asleep, things seem to even feel better. So I am off now to do some sleeping myself.
Some great pictures, I’ll post them tomorrow!
Good night!
God is good all the time. We are headed out tomorrow and we rejoice that we are close to being fully supported with our prayer and finance support team members!!!
Thankyou to all of you who are backing us on this one. We hope to keep you up to date on what is happening while we are away.
May God bless you to continue to be a blessing to others!!
If you would like to see a live picture of the town we will be in click here and then click on the text “Standbild Adelboden Dorf”
Our travel will take a total of 24 hours from the church to the hotel on the other side. pray for the girls to endure and enjoy well!
Here is a song that celebrates his goodness through all of life
